Caroline Taylor, Founder and Director
I am a qualified teacher with 27 years of primary school experience in London and Buckinghamshire. I have a BEd (Hons) degree from Nottingham University and hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Advanced Educational Practice from Oxford Brookes University.
My history of holding key roles such as; Class Teacher in Years 2 to 6, Leading Maths Teacher for Barnet, Assessment Co-ordinator, Deputy Head and Headteacher have given me an all round experience and understanding of the many different ways children learn.
In my most recent role, as Headteacher of an outstanding primary school, I have introduced and evolved my approach to learning and teaching, Challenge For All. This approach takes the very best of gifted and talented practice and research and applies it to all children irrespective of their starting points. Key principles that I have always championed are high expectations, independence, metacognition, praising effort, effective self-evaluation and the development of a growth mindset.
I led a high achieving school, but also an inclusive school, taking pride in the progress of every child, whatever their level of ability. I hold the National Award for Special Educational Needs Co-ordination and spent many years working as a SENCO ensuring that every child has the opportunity to be successful and achieve excellent results, irrespective of ethnicity, gender, ability, background or barriers to learning.
I hold an advanced DBS check and am an experienced Designated Safeguarding Lead.
Caroline has encouraged my daughter to believe in her own abilities and taught her all about
growth mindset. As soon as she stopped worrying about making mistakes she has shown huge
progress in both maths and English.
